  DIRECTORATE: Plant Health

Directorate: Plant Health (DPH) deals with policy matters related to risk management in terms of the regulated pests of plant and plant products to ensure South African compliance with international trade. It is responsible for the regulation of import and export of plants and plants products, which are controlled in terms of the Agricultural Pest Act, 1983 (Act No. 36 0f 1983), other relevant legislation and based on international standards. read more...
