How to get to Durban
International access into Durban is mainly through flights into Johannesburg (OR Tambo International Airport) which is the main hub airport for South Africa and onwards to Durban’s King Shaka International Airport. Hourly connecting flights to Durban from O.R. Tambo International Airport usually take less than an hour and are available with a number of international and domestic airlines including:
Emirates Airlines provides a scheduled daily flight between Durban and Dubai, as well as onward connections to about 120 destinations globally. SA Express offers three flights a week to Lusaka in Zambia and three flights a week to Harare, Zimbabwe from Durban and will be offering flights to a range of other African destinations from this city in the near future. SA Airlink has a daily flight from Durban to Maputo. In addition, Air Mauritius provides two flights to Durban a week. Furthermore, there are frequent daily flights between Durban and other major cities in South Africa.
King Shaka International Airport has efficient taxi, shuttle and car rental services.
